 A simple and beautifully illustrated new book by Steve Charney and David Goldbeck, “The ABCs of Fruits and Vegetables and Beyond,” is one good way to interest youngsters in these most nutritious foods, which are readily available, and tastier, in the summer.... The goal is to familiarize children with foods that are good for them.

What a terrific way to learn about fruits and veggies! This book is really two in one. The first part, the ABC’s, is made up of a combination of clever poetry by Steve Charney, and funny illustrations. Part two,... again goes through the alphabet, but in much more detail. Co-author and best-selling food writer David Goldbeck has really done is homework. Offering recipes, jokes and fun facts along the way, the book is delightful all the way around.

 This is a veggie ABC book for elementary age children, beautifully illustrated by Marie Burgaleta Larson, which presents fruits and vegetables in a fun way....I especially liked the diversity presented in the book by way of images and in the poems themselves.
